This has been a known bug for a long time now that can be game deciding in many games but I have never seen anyone ask for a bugfix.
trebuchet projectiles not doing damage if the treb died before the projectile landed was seen as a feature, not a bug, yet that was changed. The mangonel delete trick is in the same category.I'm pretty sure it's a feature not a bug.
Just tested it, it was in HD.This was not a thing before DE, right?
Was it a prominent feature of competitive play before DE?Just tested it, it was in HD.
I assume the lag made it less feasible, or at least I can't remember it happen a lot.Was it a prominent feature of competitive play before DE?
Why would you not want this removed?please no

I don't believe removing fun and well balanced mechanics is good for the game, even if they are considered "bugs", not to mention the real gamebreaking bugs which seem to occur whenever such a change is made.
I do not enjoy all my Mangudai ding just because I use them to kill a onager but everyone finds fun in different things.I don't believe removing fun and well balanced mechanics is good for the game, even if they are considered "bugs", not to mention the real gamebreaking bugs which seem to occur whenever such a change is made.
It was definitely used in the voobly days, I also remember some drama where I think Villese (not sure about that) was accused of cheating or something.I assume the lag made it less feasible, or at least I can't remember it happen a lot.
It has been like this at least since 2016, although I suspect it's always been the same. Maybe it was harder to do because of lag, but it was still done constantly at competitive level. Was it a prominent feature of competitive play before DE?
I think both of them and I would like that removed as well. House scan was terrible and I appreciate the work devs put into fixing this. Are we talking about the mangonel doing more spread after it's deleted, that it ignores hill damage after it's deleted or both?
This is the part I'm struggling with. How is force deleting a unit to cheat intended projectile damage behavior a fun mechanic?I don't believe removing fun and well balanced mechanics is good for the game, even if they are considered "bugs", not to mention the real gamebreaking bugs which seem to occur whenever such a change is made.
Personally I think it's a similar exploit to "palisade scanning" and it should be gone, but I can see how some people kinda like it.This is the part I'm struggling with. How is force deleting a unit to cheat intended projectile damage behavior a fun mechanic?
it would be nice if they managed to fix it without causing a whole host of other bugs that continue to cause problemsI think both of them and I would like that removed as well. House scan was terrible and I appreciate the work devs put into fixing this.
Give us new bugs 11I think both of them and I would like that removed as well. House scan was terrible and I appreciate the work devs put into fixing this.
