Hello. I watched in many 1v1 tournaments games players did cartography, for example Lierey vs theviper in first game of kotd 1. Why?
I don't buy that, unless it boosts the score during that game. They did it for the Tech %
All about the stats
It should give some points, but I think nobody will notice score changes because of such small technologies. For example you will notice an age advancement technology finish by some point gain in the score. If you want to know how many points it gives, you could test in a scenario.I don't buy that, unless it boosts the score during that game.
It actually doesn't give any point, because points are indexed on the cost of the technology. With cartography, since it costs nothing, it doesn't increase score. The only point of researching cartography in 1v1 is literally just for total techs achievement and style points. It should give some points, but I think nobody will notice score changes because of such small technologies. I thought it might have kept the points. So are the points automatically reduced, that Chinese get less points for technologies or Italians and Byzantines less for the age ups etc.?It actually doesn't give any point, because points are indexed on the cost of the technology. Indeed they are. Similarly, Burmese don't get any point from the free lumber upgrades, same with all other free tech bonuses.I thought it might have kept the points.
