First off, I'm male myself, but this question has always pondered me ever since I started becoming interested in RTS games.
What are all the elements of RTS? Managment. Managing your economy, managing your army, and managing your techs. Basically, keeping track of 10 or more things that needs to be done. Thus, being able to multi-task is a huge asset to being successful at this game. It's no different from being at home and remembering everything including what you need to buy for groceries, what your children needs to bring to school, your phone contacts, financials, etc.
Aren't females tend to be better at this kind of stuff? I've always learned that if there is one thing that women can do better than men, it's multi-tasking. So in games like AoC or AoE, where are all the female gamers?
Maybe it's just me, but I don't know. If you're a female gamer, or know of a girl who plays this kind of games, what are your experiences? I can tell you from my experience that I blow monkey dung when it comes to multi-tasking, and being a soon-to-be health care worker, this actually has negative implications on my career, and my game career.
