I have a little document where I jot down ideas for a remake of this game and I came up with the health regen and faster ram speed for the Vikings.

Dark/Feudal
• Men-at-arms have 1 melee armor
• Militia have 1 melee armor STARTING FEUDAL AGE (dark wars are boring)
• Skirmishers take +1 damage from melee
• Spearmen only take +1 damage from pierce (instead of +2)
• Researching Loom only gives villagers 1 Pierce armor instead of 2 (allows archer rush, makes fletching more strategic with skirmishers)
Castle
• Men-at-arms +1 attack
• Long swordsmen have 1 melee armor
• Elite Skirmishers do not have negative melee armor
• Spearmen-line only take +1 damage from pierce (instead of +2)
• Garrisoned rams move 25% slower
Imperial
• Two Handed Swordsmen have 1 melee armor
• Spearmen-line only take +1 damage from pierce (instead of +2)
• Garrisoned rams move 25% slower

Skirmishers cost 25 wood, 35 food. 4 Attack, 100 Yards, 6 HP, 0/2 Armor. Still has minimum range (9 Yards). Trained 2x faster than archers. No bonus against any unit. Must take 1 minute to Recharge after attacking. Trained in 30 seconds.
Longbowmen cost 35 wood, 50 gold, 4 Attack, 300 Yards, 10 HP, 1/0 Armor. fires 10 times in a minute. Trained 2x slower than archers. research time 2 minutes. Trained in 85 seconds.
Cavalry Archers cost 30 wood, 60 gold. 3 Attack, 250 Yards, 10 HP, 0/1 Armor, fires 8 times in a minute, can fire while moving. Trained in 90 seconds.
Cavalry
Knights cost 90 food, 150 gold, 6 Attack, Melee, 10 HP, 2/2 Armor. Trained in 3 minutes.
Light Cavalry cost 70 food, 20 gold. 3 Attack, Melee, 7 HP, 0/1 Armor, move faster than Knights. Trained in 90 seconds.
Scout Cavalry cost 60 food. 2 Attack, Melee, 3 HP, 0/0 Armor, move faster than Knights. Trained in 1 minute.
Infantry
Pikemen cost 40 food, 20 wood. 3 Attack, Melee, +3 attack vs mounted units, 6 HP, 0/0 Armor, move and attack slowly. Trained in 30 seconds.
