Hey
Lately I've been winning my 1v1 arabias by playing in counter to my enemy. for example if i see he drush, i do defend drush strat. or if i see he go stable i do defend vs stable strat. This involves attacking his base of course- not necessarily walling and keeping my army at my base the whole game. Or if i see him planning on walling + fc to ca then i'll defend vs that strat by going very aggressive vs him and ploppin some towers down. I consider this to be a defensive playstyle (even if im goin aggressive vs him).
My question is under what conditions should i take the lead and go aggressive?
I'm sure I'll get responses "It depends on map" but i dont think that really is the answer im looking for. For example, if I have a really good map when i can wall and ca or something gay like that, I could choose to be defensive (i defined it as strictly countering what he plans to do) and probly get positive results, or i could be aggressive (meaning that I dont necessarily react to his strategy- i just do my own).
