I remember in the days I played Counter-Strike 1.5/1.6. Due to the massive amount of cheating going on, websites popped up offering their own matchmaking. To play there, you had to install a software that took pictures of your screen every couple of seconds. If the AI (or a human looking into those pictures) saw anything sketchy (like wall hacks, mack hacks etc), you got insta-banned.
Would this be something that could be implemented in AOE? Perhaps a forced screen recorder to play ranked ladder games (obviously only recording in-game and not being intrusive in other ways)? Any other/better ways you could think of solving this issue?
I just faced "Elo Bot" three times in a row. Lost a bunch of ELO points. What is the point of playing and wanting to improve when you keep facing cheaters?
