Agreed@kaspar: thats why I suggested each a 16 point base for each player in each 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 rather than the 16 split among the team, Still dont know if it would be perfect, but it would make 2v2 and 4v4 equal value, and its a TG ladder so its separate from 1v1 anyway!
what i don't understand is why 2k+ guys keep hosting/joining rooms for 1650 instead of playing their own level like emin ,viper etc do
God i hosted a room for 17x arab and had to kick 4 19xx-2k players who spammed "14" and claimed to be "only 1600"
In other words, your real rating?i will proly never reach 1700

You are right, though
Biz, you have a lot of good points. But your overall negativity and really exaggerated scenarios are taking a toll in your credibility at least in my eyes. If you really want to make a change and to be heard, you wont achieve that by calling people idiots and just making these images of total failure. I don't mean to insult you, I want to give you a constructive feedback from my perspective. This is just how I see it.
Wow dude. You look to me like one of those guys, old men who complain about everything. You dont see the glass half empty, u see it completely empty. Besides you are contradicting yourself: you say ratings are never accurate and imply that they do not denote true skill but then u say "skill (rating)" implying that they mean the same.stop calling it an evolution. it's a big step backwards.
why do so many mathematically-challenged fools pretend that the ratings ever made sense?
the ratings were NEVER accurate. It's about rewarding you for wins with points - it is not a rating. it's an arbitrary number that you can boost by picking and choosing your fights.
and 16 points for TG is just idiotic. finding team games is already borderline impossible. making you lose so many points if there are laggers/droppers is just silly, and it will make it even harder to find games.
it discourages people from playing on their main accounts (with their "real" rating) unless they know the teams are stacked in their favor. people playing lower than their real rating is really bad for matchmaking.
it artificially boosts the ratings of players who team with better friends. this is bad for everyone, even the guy who goes up because he can't fairly play in rooms without that stacked team.
the whole point of TG is that people don't have to worry about points and so that they can actually just find games and play if there are enough people. don't turn it into 1v1 where there are 5 rooms with the same skills/settings, but all 1/8 because all of them are looking for a high chance of winning.
more points for TG means being pickier about settings (playing fewer games), more team stacking (playing fewer games), and more hesitation joining games because so much else could go wrong (playing fewer games).
What I think it should be done is errase the RM 1v1 and RM general (old) visibility when you are in the lobby. Because this way most of people play vs similar skilled, and they have even games, so they all are 16xx! if a 18xx team plays another 18xx team they may win and loose equally amount of time and remain 1600 wereas, two 14xx might do the same. By removing that, people stop bitching about who they are gonna play, and ratings will get stable much faster.
Most of the changes are going to be for the better, like no coop in rated 1v1s, preventing mixing of tg and 1v1 rates etc.stop calling it an evolution. it's a big step backwards.
+1actually, the way things are, good and bad players do need to play each other, and then ratings will begin to go where they should
I've noticed that when hosting teamgames, very lower rates enter 'cause they don't know better and fail to notice the old player ranks are above theirs. Or in 1v1 the 2k's join to just get their rate up no matter ur own skillllevel.
