on gameranger there is around 700 players playing aofe.. it didn't fail what's so ever..Game-mod fails, blame game server instead of mod-maker. Logic.

Its ******ed saying its because the game rewards luck and laming that people aint playing AoFE. I am sure that even if the game were PERFECTLY balanced people would be playing AoC instead. In fact most probably if it were perfectly balanced they would stick even more to aoc, because they are so used to the dominant civs that most players would blame hard. I agree at this point including hunting dogs was an interseting idea but a bad decision, but it aint that important either.
I am sure also (i aint willing for that) that if aoc rated were removed all people would play AoFE, and after, lets say, 4 months aoc rated is back, most people would stick with AoFE.
600players in gr lobby playing aofe sounds like fail?Guys... AoFE failed. It's really as simple as that.
Especially now with AOC in HD coming out... hard to see AoFR ever becoming much more popular.
Can you tell me what made you dislike it?A new game needs a selling point. Why does everyone move on to the next COD shooter each year? Why did people move from AOK to AOC when AOC was released?
I tried AoFE because it was new. I gave it quite a few team games. I didn't like it. I'm sure there's a lot of players who feel the same for whatever reason they cite.

What I am trying to say it's that I'm a noob who only knows to play huns on arabia. But i want to improve.
Lately, I've started playing FR...
The idea is that if you're noob and want to improve, AoC is the place, not AoFE.
That's my personal problem with AoFE.
Once again, I don't say AoFE is bad. As I said some time ago, on IamRiver's topic, if this was released 7-8 months ago, it would have been the perfect game for me, as a BF NR 45 player i was on gr
I'm in a situation similar to you 6months ago bro. I just started playing aoe 2 "seriously" in jan this year becuz of FE. Been playing on GR so far. I'm gonna start playing on voobly as well now. But I'm having trouble understanding your logic. If you're a noob and want to improve, what difference does aoc and aofe make?
If you wanna get better at ara hun war, then you should play ara hun war. If you wanna get better at other maps and civs, then you should play other maps and civs. AOFE has more maps and civs, so wouldn't it be better? Of course, if you wanna get better at aoc specifically, then aoc is the better choice. But for overall aoe2 skills, I don't think there is much of a difference. Aok is too different though. But aoc and aofe feel very similar.

I guess you have a different understanding of the word 'noob', if you're playing on gameranger.
I'm noob for voobly, but i'm 1.65k on arabia hunwars, so people on gameranger would definately call me 'pro' 11
And as the guy before me stated, it will be very hard for you to find AoFE games on voobly, and that will not really make any difference anyway, as there are not highly skilled people playing it neither on Voobly or gameranger.
If you want to improve fast, come play AoC on voobly, and you will get good at AoFE too... you're right saying that AoFE is, in fact, AoC, but with some changes.
Anyway, I'm happy that AoFE brings new people in the game, such as you say it raised your interest
