RULES AND SETTINGS

Voobly Arena Seasonal is a 1v1 single elimination tournament played on Voobly. It uses the latest userpatch version (v1.5 RC) and the latest rated version of the WololoKingdoms mod (5.8.1)

The map to be played on in VAS_Arena, a variant of arena with the following changes:
- AoC HP walls (1800 HP in dark age and feudal age)
- Start with one sheep in your possession
- Inside deer (Can still be either 3 or 4, but the same for both players)
- Inside boars
- Resources avoid being stuck in woodlines more often
- Small graphical modifications to show a spring theme

Timeframe:

Signups Open 1st April, and end 6th April 23:59 GMT.
The Tournament will begin on the 7th of April, players have until April 11th 23:59 GMT to schedule and play the first round
The first round will be cast on VooblyOfficial on Friday, 12th of April

The Semi Finals will be played live on VooblyOfficial on Saturday, 13th April 17 GMT

The Finals will be played live on VooblyOfficial on Sunday, 14th April 17 GMT
The loser bracket finals (Losers of the semi finals) to decide third place will be cast 20 - 21 GMT. These matches must be played between the completion of the semi finals and 20 GMT 14th of April in order for the recs to be cast.

Players must ensure they can play at the requested time on the 13th and 14th when they sign up. Small adaptations can be made upon request.

Match Settings:

Players may pick from their chosen civ pool (see below) in any order. Civilisations are hidden pick. Players may not repeat civs from their own pool, but are allowed to pick civs that their opponent has previously. There are no civ bans.

Quarter Final matches are Best of 3.
Semi Final matches are Best of 5.
Finals are Best of 7.

The map will be VAS_Arena_Spring. Players are not allowed to choose another variation of arena.

Restarts:

One restart will be awarded per player in a best of 3 match, a best of 5 match, and a best of 7 match.

To call a restart, players must say in chat “re” before 4:00 minutes of game time, and have 15 seconds to initiate a save and exit. Failure to do so may result in an admin loss.
Admin restarts will be awarded before 5 minutes of game time. When no admin is present, a player must tell the other player before 5 minutes “Admin re” and initiate a save and exit. It is the responsibility of the other player to review the recording to ensure that it is an admin re. If there is any dispute, a tournament admin must be contacted. Administrators may message players of admin-re maps.

If there is any ambiguity of what constitutes a bugged map, admins have free discretion to decide what is and what isn’t, even if it is something most would consider a bugged map but not mentioned in the rules.

Bugged Maps:
A map is bugged if:

• Players start with one or more trapped villagers
• Players start with a trapped scout.
• Less than 5 faces of the main gold are accessible
• Less than 3 faces of the main stone are accessible
• Players start with less than 3 accessible deer, 8 accessible sheep or 2 accessible boar. These resources MAY be outside of the player’s wall.
• No front gates (a gate that allows a player to access the centre of the map)
• A “back area” which may or may not contain resources separated by a treeline one or more trees thick.
• Less than one tile of distance between two player’s initial walls or any overlap.

Voobly Arena Seasonal will only be casted on VooblyOfficial. Primary casters will be VooblyOfficial and VAS tournament staff, however co-casters may be chosen at any time which do not have to already be involved in VooblyOfficial nor the tournament.
