Hey, just want to start this thread. Here you can write all useful tips you know, that can make you won a game, or avoid to loose a vill, or avoid an unexpected rush, etc. Write yours, and I will update this post.
- If you know your oponent is drushing and he is near, put all your vills in one side of your lumbercamp, or put all your vills gathering the same berrie if that is the case, so in this way you can fight that drush with a big number of vills and will avoid a 3 militia vs 2 vills, loosing 1.
- Use the gold trick if you want to know if your oponent is drushing. At his home, with your scout check his main gold pile, and if you find that a pile has 790 gold left, then he is drushing.
- In Arabia , before first 5 mins, if you scout his wood and he has 3 woodchoppers, you can assume with 80% that he is doing scrush.
- Build palisades in wolves, to check if he sending forward vills or to know where is he sending his army on early feudal fight.
- Without loom, 2 vills kill 1 scout, but 2 vills do not kill an Eagle Warrior without loosin 1 vill. So against meso civs, try to get loom as soon as possible (right after you send a vill to lure boar, ~12 pop)
- If you suspect that he is doing forward, click on palidase or farm, and go to key points where he could be building his forward buildings. Do no build that palidase or farm, just move it around the map, and if it turn red in a place that it should not, he is building there.

- If you lose your scout early, there is a great chance that ur enemy forward you. So be prepared.
- You can see through fog if ur opponent starts chopping at a new forest.
- If you are playing as Turks, aztecs or mayans in pocket, keep ur EW/Scout alive and start killing enemy pocket vils right when u reach castle.
- If you are goths and reach imp with a good eco going champs, click perfusion the moment you reach imp. Click 2-hander upgrade at rax. Once perfusion is done, your upgrades at rax become 2X faster. Click champ when 2-hander finishes. Using this trick, u get champs 1 min earlier than if u dont, and 1 min 30 sec earlier than other civs entering imp at same time.

- If you are fighting vs enemy's drush with vils, fight and pull back a villager that is about to die making sure it reaches tc, and put a new vil with full health back to fight.
- Multiple Scouts vs spearman, attack with 3-4 scouts and pull back the scout being targetted quickly letting spear chase it and other scouts kill spear.
- Suppose 4 archers are chasing 4 m@a, find out which m@a is being targetted, keep running back with that maa and do a reversal with the rest. If enemy isnt careful its likely he loses a couple arch for nothing.
- Fighting spear and skirm vs scot and arch/ skirm, sway from side to side with spears to avoid fire while periodically microing and letting skirms kill arch/ski.
- When you are about to attack enemy with ur main rushing army, distract him with ur explorer scout at a different place, enemy is likely to miss the warning.
- If you scouted enemy base and cant find barracks in his town, expect a forward.
- When fighting with an army of archer + skirm vs archer + scout, keep ur skirms in front of your archers.
- In massed galley war pick one galley and send it front and move sideways perpendicular to enemy galleyfire.
- Also repair heavily damaged galley- repairing full hp costs ONLY HALF of its actual building cost.
- Spears and skirms vs villagers: when villagers attack spears run in circles with them, and when they go for attacking our skirm, move that particular skirm continuously while at the same time letting spears kill villager.

- Scout arround enemy tc to find straggler trees and when he starts cutting them, build paladise in it, and it will be deleted.
- Fast up in water maps is good.
- Wolf rush in gold rush.
- When you do forward, wall enemy resources, as Stone piles and Gold piles
- Make some unbuild paladise behind florests that your enemy can tower to see his vills if he builds a tower.

- If you're attacking a group of long range units with kts or really anything (pre-ballistics) send one unit first until enemy starts firing at it and then run it around whilst moving your other units in for t3h killzors.
- Same sort can be done for kts vs kts, if you notice one kt is being targeted by the majority of enemy kts, then drag it away so the rest of your army will dominate his smaller army.
- When walling and a single tree is in the way, always make sure to wall behind the single tree too or unexpected lolz may ensue.
- In BF if it's possible to wall an enemy off from his allies and you can get him killed before enemy can onnie in then you should do everything in your power to do it!
- In arena if enemy does 11.00 or less feudal, it's probably a good idea to wall the corners of your base.
- An often overlooked trick and possibly one of the most effective things (especially in TG) is if you are sending a group of xbows to enemy pocket, take a villager along with you so when he brings kts to kill your army you can drop off a couple of palisades and secure your army from danger.
