Hello everyone, I can understand the use of fire in seige weapons but normal arrows were also lit up before firing at a foot soldier. Why waste the gunpowder when you can fire without it thus making the arrow invisible for the most part. Koreans and Chinese mostly used to lit up their arrows even when 1v1ing a foot soldier. Anyone has any ideas why?
- No fire = arrows are invisible for the most part
- Archer's location is not given up.
What were the advantages?
