Please explain. Well yeah I'm excluding map diversity for people who do not want map diversity... duh.without taking into account map diversity, playerbase
And weak player base = longer waiting time. If people accept it, let them.

Reasonable quick balanced gameTrying to force people into playing maps/settings they don't enjoy is not a recipe for success. Instead of looking for punitive solutions maybe they should've figured out how to incentivize/reward people who don't Alt+F4 or play a wider array of maps/settings.
This is SOMETHING that needs to be clarified:I think most people agree that slightly longer waiting times and bigger Elo gaps is an acceptable cost to pay for getting the map / style of map you actually want and ending the alt f4 disaster.
The easiest way to get this is to change the system so there are multiple mappools you can sign up for just like we can sign up for TG/1v1 and EW right now. Yes sometimes you will have to play Arabia instead of Runestones or Hideout instead of Arena but it gives you some control without increasing waiting times too much, and if you want minimal waiting times just sign up for everything.
1v1 or TG?There is no huge Elo gap for most people it's because you are in the top 1% and are in a region with less people I am in the top 5% and get or lose 15 Elo in like 95% of my games.
I have stopped playing TG once the F4 thing started so I was talking 1v1 but Elo in TG is also so messed up that it is completely irrelevant.1v1 or TG?
I have seen a lot of people complain about imbalanced matchups in TG whether or not the displayed ELO numbers have any meaning.I have stopped playing TG once the F4 thing started so I was talking 1v1 but Elo in TG is also so messed up that it is completely irrelevant.
Yes the balance is horrible in TG but that has so many reasons... At this point they should just give up and give us ranked TG lobbies and reset the Elo.I have seen a lot of people complain about imbalanced matchups in TG whether or not the displayed ELO numbers have any meaning.
First time to aoezone? 1st rule: Stop being positive and start complainining about everything. Propose many weird changes that devs should make within the next 2 hours and if they implement those, start explaining that the game was way better before those updates.I am at the 1.3k/1.4k elo bucket (2k TG), and over here the 1v1 and also the TG queues are very good (1v1 more so than TG). Waiting time never more than 2/3 minutes, opponents always within 50 elo points from me (which basically means very even match).
Also, in TGs I almost never see the alt+F4 problem... and I played 200+ games.
Yes sometimes the match feels very one-sided, but I came to the realisation it's the chosen strategy or mistake in execution which made the difference. i.e. you can have a very one-sided match even against a player of your exact skill if you/they choose a wrong strategy or you/they mess up the execution.
Why my experience seems so different compared to everybody else in this forum?
Bonus points if you find a way to correlate the opposition to your aoe2 suggestions to the political and social ills of wider societyFirst time to aoezone? 1st rule: Stop being positive and start complainining about everything. Because you actually play the game, unlike people on here who played one game in the past year and had a bad experience and extrapolate that one data point to be representative of the state of the gameWhy my experience seems so different compared to everybody else in this forum?
Please don't forget to open a new thread for each of those suggestions and give it a proper clickbait title!First time to aoezone? 1st rule: Stop being positive and start complainining about everything. I don't know. Can you tell us the mechanics behind why it's working so perfectly for you, and not for the many other people upset about it, please? 1) 100-ish difference elo isnt that big of a deal imo, even if theres a 200 difference, its still 25/75.I don't know. Bias doesn't necessarily disprove the system not being so amazing as you think it is. Nor does it discount the fact that there are enough people complaining to steer the future of the game, bias or not. And feelings can, in fact, be greater than facts at times. And if you do not get this, then you do not get this. And there is nothing anyone to do to explain all of this more simply than this, because it is already as simple as it gets.snip

It's not. It's well known that players at <2k Elo have a much better chance at getting fair games and good matchmaking, due to a greater amount of people at those ranges. But you make a good point that at lower elos you likely don't have to worry about these issuesI am at the 1.3k/1.4k elo bucket (2k TG), and over here the 1v1 and also the TG queues are very good (1v1 more so than TG). Because you are in the low levels, from my esperience in 2 alt accounts, alt f4, became at 2300, lower than that it was rarely seen, but if you were at +2700 alt f4 was in 2 of 3 games, i mean it is still there, players are just resigning or deleting everything, soon the smurfing will reach you when they drop 300 points for dodging megarandom and nomad, stay tuned.I am at the 1.3k/1.4k elo bucket (2k TG), and over here the 1v1 and also the TG queues are very good (1v1 more so than TG).
