Ok... university techs are often important or instead you just could pass them (some) and prefer to use resources in more army (bsmith ups)? Which ones you ALWAYS do? Errr... depends!
I know some games could be decided at feudal, 1v1 is different than TG's, but normally, like 70 or 80% you play, which are usefull or totally sh%$&%t?
For example, imagine you played Byzantines. Their buildings (for defence) rocks... if i'm not wrong, castle got 6.720 HP (without techs), so if you 1v1 treb war (11) you remember to research Masonry (III), Architecture (IV) and then just listen a song you link, drink something and relax some minutes while your buildings still there?
Castle (III), Ballistics and Treadmill Crane good, but what about Fortified Wall or Heated Shot? Sincerely, Heated Shot? Sometimes got the feeling that i could forget some techs...
Imperial (IV), Chemistry and Siege Engineers for sure. Any more thoughts? All that stuff "Strengthens buildings with 10% more hit points and +1 normal and piercing armor, +3 building" can be turn into a detail for win/lost a game?
