I only visited Austria for snow locations like Ishgl so i don't really know but Liereyy was into cars. He was 16 though, so things can change. Are cars common in Austria? Lowkey just assumed everyone used public transit or biked or walked

It's a valid question for the topic of "how does Golden League make money"
But this thread is about tracking Lierrey's grind and progress. It's not about Golden League outside of the fact that Lierrey is competing in it
Save it for the "Transport Habits of Austrians" thread KappaAre cars common in Austria? Lowkey just assumed everyone used public transit or biked or walked

Well, not even AoE2 is an e-sport, with a more consolidated playerbase, and a better recognition between e-players. I really think that thanks to your organization AoE4 interest is not declining faster, but realistically I wouldnt get the hopes too high in any term. Gl with the tourney. Not my place to get into Nili and N4C. But no, I am not worried. In this for the long game and feel confident in the long term viability of AOE4 as a game and an e-sport. Of course this is an area in which well minded people can agree to disagree.
Honestly, you joke about it, but the number of people filling threads with "this post does not belong in this thread, it needs to be somewhere else" comments has been excessive. Really off putting for me on this forum. No reason to insert discussion of bureaucratic details into an actual discussion imoSave it for the "Transport Habits of Austrians" thread Kappa
Yeah I think most of it is people de-railing generally productive or otherwise interesting conversation with "Nili bad" but I made a separate thread nonetheless. If lierrey is "only" doing 2 games a day I don't have high hopes of him in aoe4 league anymore. Perhaps he simply won't have the time to get good enough
same here. Hope he is doing well but couldn't care less about the game itself 11I am Larry's biggest fanboi from like 2016 but this doesn't encourage me to watch Aoe4 xDDD
And at the same time, how good was he at aoe2? Wasn't this the time that he was an expert CS player but still an up-and-coming RM player? He was just a GM......
Not sure, Sc2 was released in 2010, and he was already competing in top level in aoe2 in 2011.Wasn't this the time that he was an expert CS player but still an up-and-coming RM player?
From what I recall, Viper had already achieved 2400 sometime in 2010. He was more a “2400” FR player though, not a “2400” Arabia player. Daut usually beat him on ara then, but Viper won most fr games as an example. It was about a year or two later when that never really happened again. Not sure, Sc2 was released in 2010, and he was already competing in top level in aoe2 in 2011.
important word here I'd imagine 11No clue about the CS stuff if you mean Custom Scenario. I recall some funny smosh games back in the day with Geen and everyone tried ganging up on Viper though.
Yeah, “tried” cause I recall in one game 3 people fed him until he got Genghis Khan and then it was over 11.important word here I'd imagine 11
Can't agree more my eyes hurt seeing these graphic...
No offense, EGC is just coming from nowhere and I don't know why they can get so much funding?
Honestly all the production of their tournaments seem pretty bad to me, low resolutions, game delayed sometimes, pretty ugly graphic, no overlay, sometimes couldn't hear the voice from casters.

If I used the wrong red then I'm sorry.Well they now have waaaaay better design than the winner stays on / winter series, but I still got something to nitpick.

Font selection isnt bad at all, giving sci-fi vibes which matches the animations, yet the words are straight up flat in black, should have picked some gold-ish / brown-ish colour.
Sci-fi vibes for a medieval game seems weird but if you like it then it works.

Maybe could also have added some shadow whatnot to make it look more "carved" in the metal.
Unless they were going for the freshly painted on look.

Overlay improved A LOT, most of the fonts match one another, except the chat fonts. 300px also seems too little if you ask me, either add like 30~50 px or break that chat messages to the next line. So instead of
Putting chat name and text on separate line seems like it might add a lot of stodgy looking white space and would cut the number of messages on screen at s single time. Would make it easier to read names however.
