How long do you think players will need between AOE2 and AOE4 tournaments to perform close to their peak?
As everything about this game "it depends" on a number of things like settings e.g. classic AOE2 settings probably need less preparation, new settings probably need more time. And players can probably split time not only prep for 1 tournament at a time. But I would like to know what people think is a good turnaround time in general.
For me I think 2 weekends is solid going from AOE4 to AOE2 and maybe 3 weekends for AOE2 to AOE4. Longer timeframes for more varied settings. Note I didn't say weeks I said weekends, unless you're fulltime with Age I assume most high level players can get more training done on weekends than they can on weekdays due to other commitments. While 5 extra weekdays might be huge for some, it might not be worth the added scheduling difficulty. After all this all needs to balance with each other, scheduling also needs to account for other factors not just turn around times for training.
Disclaimer: I know nothing about pros and could be way off with my opinion, hence the post so I can see what other peoples insights are.
