+1Im surprised anyone doubts that this is just stunt by erdogan to strengthen gis position.
[...] Whoever does support the coup even behind the keyboard, shame on them.
I support Erdogan and I have quite good/long reasons to be written here Btw If I state my reasons here you may not like them or just find them unreasonable but in Turkey benefits I support him and outside of turkey most of the east countries does support him as well. So, it just depends on expectations...[...] Whoever does support the coup even behind the keyboard, shame on them.
I would just like to know the following: Do you support Erdogan or do you just not support the coup?
And if it's the first option, then why is that? I'm genuinely interested.
well thats a known fact...Erdogan is an Islamist nutcase. Atatürk would be ashamed of him and his supporters.
100%Erdogan is an Islamist nutcase. Atatürk would be ashamed of him and his supporters.
I agree, nevertheless Attaturk was nutcase himself thou not ismalist nutcase.Erdogan is an Islamist nutcase. Atatürk would be ashamed of him and his supporters.

No hate at all, I am simply trying to understand:
- How is Erdogan so popular, considering it seems (!) like he is trying to establish himself as a new dictator.
Removing all opposition by:
*Anti-terror laws as excuse to detain public people and restrict freedom of speech (especially newspapers)
*Removing the immunity of opposing council members
*Changing the political system to a presidial system, most likely with the long term goal of becoming leader for life.
*...and now removing any potential opposing military or judicary powers with an either miserably failed coup or an orchestrated one.
My questions are:
How can people believe he is doing the right thing, or are most Turkish people so patriotic believing its time for a new Ottoman empire?
Does his Governement support the people in terms of Wellfare etc, that the above mentioned things are simply a side-effect they choose to ignore?
...for me as an outsider the rise to power has uncanny parallels to our short moustached friend Mr. Adolf, which is only possible if the people (for whatever reasons I am trying to find out) rally behind such a figure.
I'll try to respond your concerns/questions as much as I can as a turkish citizen, am afraid can't explain some things very well in english and I don't want to use wrong words so you better ask again if you misunderstand something. I got quite close friends in government so I got the confidence on what im gonna say. I'll also try to reflect my view on this matter, believing in everything what media says drives you out of real subject, or believing in one-sided islam haters (doesn't matter if they even live in turkey) don't drive you to facts as well.No hate at all, I am simply trying to understand:

Terms like democracy, freedom of speech, freedom of press have no value in Turkey.
• Restricting freedom of speech in Turkey is such a lie,
