i just think turning food cost into 30/35/40 is enough to nerf eagles. mesos would be really powerful even with this little nerf i think
Because Supplies is far too expensive.with eagle the problem is that everybody just start to produce long swords when hitting castle age. So basically it’s 10 eagles vs 0 long swords.
It is necessary to start producing m@a in feudal but that’s also huge gamble and eco invest.
I agree LS are beasts against eagles, plus they can counter attack and do decent damage to buildings, besides, if your oponent changes to xbow, deffending with skirm is cost efficient because the food income will be there and its not gold intensive.I don't think these are the only counters though.
Against xbows you can make mangonels. In open field it's hard to counter xbows with mangonels, but at home, surrounded by villagers you can keep repairing the mangonels so that the enemy has to go away.
As for eagles, again I urge people to watch the Daut vs Liereyy series in TOC, first game I think it was. Aztecs vs Franks. Franks won by going walls plus longswords.
The thing is, longswords are an awkward unit, but they absolutely shred eagles. You can easily counter eagles with like half the numbers. If you wall the sides and defend the rest with them there's really not much eagles can do.
The audacity to suggest anything other than more wall nerfs!!!Or you could undo one of the eight wall nerfs since DE was released.
