I feel like I already hate this game. Unfortunately games are getting dumber and more simplistic all the time. Does anyone else feel the complete shallowness in newer games?
I play a lot of games besides AoE across all different genres. I'm always on the hunt for a game that has real depth, re playability, rich story lines, and history.
This doesn't go for all young gamers, but the large majority don't seem to have the appreciation or intelligence for games with complexity, depth, or time investment. It seems whatever can satisfy the twitching ADHD best draws the numbers. Reflexes replace strategy, speed, execution, memory, and mental toughness. All things required for AoE.
Not everyone enjoys long matches no, but some of my most memorable games in AoE are in 45min+ bloodbaths and stalemates. Comebacks while being outnumbered. Not to mention I hate space themes so this new game is like a double slap for me.

What do you guys think about this new game from the old devs and the direction new games are taking? P.S. new movies suck and lack depth as well
