Which OS is that? The OS which is out of support by Micro$oft.
The OS which doesn't support multi-core or thread properly.
The OS which doesn't only support SSD, but also shorten its life by non-optimized defragging.
The OS which doesn't support more than 4GB RAM.
The OS which doesn't support DirectX 11.
The OS which doesn't support more than 2TB HDD.
The OS which doesn't support either AHCI(Legacy) or UEFI by default.
And also, Userpatch fixes (or will fix) any issue on Windows 7 and later.
What do you want now? lol

DX11 and more than 4GB RAM professional? Firstly, M$ should give any gamer DX11 because the only reason someone buys Windows is for DX. Them not giving a paying customer a feature is anti-consumer. For RAM, as software gets better and better, RAM sizes need to increase. 10 years from now we'll be laughing at 4GB RAM as too little. Some with 5960Xes on X99 mobos and 16 GB DDR4 RAM already are.You are really bad at understanding sarcasm, aren't you.
Also almost every thing mentioned above is useless for not proffesional gamer, cause people just dont use that anyways.
And those *by default non-optimized* *properly* are not real issues.

Ok, pls tell me single game who would need more than 4GB ram (ON XP) To run a game?DX11 and more than 4GB RAM professional? You should atleast try reading exactly same thread page 1 before asking..has anybody tried running AoC/Voobly on the tech-preview? if it's a free Upgrade, most user will do it (maybe even will be forced to) - would be a shame if the game won't work anymore! maybe i should get a WinXP Version as a backup...
Most of the games, which writes requirements looks like.Battlefield 4, Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Oblivion, and so on... I can give a million games.
Besides why game on XP when newer windows versions have better Directx which means better performance with same hardware? :X
Only reason to stay on xp is if you don't do anything useful on it in first place or if u need to use some archaic software for work that doesn't work on a newer windows.
Otherwise you're just limiting urself :X
Those people need PCs. Not Windows. And hacking will probably be better on the more obscure distros of Linux than M$'s cash cow porn spying platform. Some rumors going around that Windows may go sub-based. Then Linux will be the only option.OK Being honest, about Jaydev's post. It's quite important for not only for gamers but also people who works with using a computer such as programmers, graphic designers, architects, writers, hackers, musicians and etc... because they use computer for their work so much. You need bunch of RAMs to draw, CPU performance to encode your music or video and more lol.
Anyways it's no longer only for pro-gamers or geeks to have a good/new computer :P And remaining the old computer/OS is just meaningless if there's new good one.
Ye, they 'run' on XP.Most of the games, which writes requirements looks like.Battlefield 4, Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Oblivion, and so on... I can give a million games.

4gb on W7 4GB on Vista, 3GB on XP. So that lose one makes no sense, since it actually requires less for XP too.
Also, all games besides Battlefield 4 you mentioned does run on windows xp, and also below ram 4gb.

Have fun playing on 800*600 resolution with everything on lowest graphically speaking. Can't even do mods cause u don't have the ram for it :X
