wait since when did i titanic?
Well it wasn't a titanic in the technical sense of the word. You played decently until late castle age, way too much boom (4 tc boom). At some point you noticed that the opponent's maya was already in imperial, which made you a bit concerned and you hurried to click up yourself, and only at that point you were able to build a castle. At that point I already saw it coming, your imperial age push was rather weak, too late, and you never had good numbers (for a mayan player), in particular way too few plumeds (started plumeds production too late bc no castles). It would have been much more effective to make a 2 tc mini boom (doing wheelbarrow much earlier), then to do 1 defensive castle and a 2nd forward castle between your second stone and your direct opponents main gold. You had back stone, so this strategy would have been very viable. Compared to your eco, your push was quite weak. If you had used the strategy I mentioned, I figure that you would have won the first game. It is quite easy to get like 50-60 plumeds with a small eco and doing a much faster imperial.
Yes those are some good constructive comments but i still maintain that i didnt titanic the game as such if you watch the game back i was pushing very well until purple cam with 40+ palas there was also the mongols and i believe some plumeds and i was practically alone very difficult to continue a push there. Norways game plan was very much more late game focused. I think what i needed to do was forwarded the mongol in imp to force him to stay where he was.
This series isnt over we can do another comeback like against switzerland!
