Another thing id prefer to be done without is that mirror game. Balance patches are meant to promote no-mirror and no-ban games.
We should stick to one balance patch imo, if we split it up like this I think it wont lead anywhere, the best that can happen is that one of the patches dies, the worst that both patches die.
To bring a change in an established system, you need a lot of effort. We should stick to one balance patch imo, if we split it up like this I think it wont lead anywhere, the best that can happen is that one of the patches dies, the worst that both patches die.
They need to be alive in the first place in order to die... even though BoP is nearly finished there is still no one playing the patch except when forced to in their tournament games.
+1 for the ton of effort.
The recent community poll shows that ~60% want to see balance patch games vs the 40% who do not. To me, this is a fantastic result considering BoP is only the 2nd tournament with a Balance Patch. After TEC maybe that will increase to 65-70%... and that's great. After the next event maybe 75%, and at that point there's so much support for a balance patch that it can happen at a larger scale.
hey zero, tournament looks exciting. what would make it better is if you used the existing balance patch. A lot of work has gone into the existing balance patch and you should be building on the work that has already been done rather than starting all over again with a new patch.
The event was announced and the settings changed within a week of the announcement, not months. The event was hyped and publicised for months with the balance label.
Now this is quite possibly not the case, but who knows if that anonymous donor who contributed a big portion of the money did so because he was excited about the balancing advent.
Top of everything, we were discussing in private and it looked more or less that you were about to take that step and it looked like a done deal.
Next thing I come to know is a total flip flop from your side, that too I came to know from some of my friends who were themselves surprised at your twist. Not impressed really.
I'm never saying the absence of a patch will hurt the event, but it will not help the cause you had previously said to be working on.
If anyone wants to retract their donation in light of this change then they can, the Kickstarter funds are not secured until it is over.i feel sorry for the ones that donated to this event
