This first update comes early in the season. I had a full write up done on the individual players but after being asked to sign in again and losing the pages I neglected to back up, this brief one will have to do. It has been interesting and I am going to separate the participants into 3 groups of four to talk about this time.

The following are the 3 tiers as I see them. Each name is followed by a power rating.
Tier 3
Lojza (186)
Saymyname (180)
JuanNNN (192)
FeAge (181)
Lojza (186)
Saymyname (180)
JuanNNN (192)
FeAge (181)
Some in this tier have not been keeping on schedule playing games which makes it rather hard to review and rate them. From what I have seen I would suggest choosing anything but arena vs Lojza, arena vs JuanNNN, Arabia vs FeAge, and just request AW from Saymyname as it will take him 4 weeks to play anyway,
Tier 2
TaToH (187)
BacT (194)
8thWonder (207)
MbL (201)
TaToH (187)
BacT (194)
8thWonder (207)
MbL (201)
The standout in this group is 8thWonder. He not only took a game from Viper, which no one else in the league has done yet, but he did it twice forcing a draw and his Naipower (trademark pending) to soar because of it. After his rocky start against RiuT, 8th is making great strides and hopefully he can keep it up for the long run. TaToh has shown that his skills reside primarily atop the water and he has done damage to opponents that are seabound. MbL has shown some black forest skill, and BacT has shown versatility and stylistic changes that keep opponents guessing. With a bit more consistency any of these players could rise to the top tier, but keep an eye on 8th and BacT to make a move sooner rather than later.
Tier 1
RiuT (218)
Chris (220)
Yo (218)
TheViper (216)
RiuT (218)
Chris (220)
Yo (218)
TheViper (216)
This is a powerhouse at the top early, and getting wins from these guys has proven exceptionally difficult. RiuT has been especially strong on arabia but has been no slouch on water either. Chris has been beaten only when kept on the defensive. Yo, a monster player with any civ he chooses has only shown a bit of weakness on water maps. And, of course, TheViper is up to his supreme conquering ways by choosing various styles and maps. He seems to be taking his opponents preferences into consideration before choosing.
Again, apologies for the brevity of this write-up. The hole in the wall is testament to my infuriation over my stupidity to not back up the first. Luckily it is still early and me avoiding speculation isn't all bad right? Below is the list of upcoming matches and my picks to win.
Lojza v JuanNNN (1-3)
Lojza v Saymyname (2-2)
JuanNNN v FeAge (1-3)
TaToH v TheViper (0-3)
MbL v 8thWonder (2-2)
Chris v RiuT (2-2)
BacT v Yo (1-3)
Thanks for reading, keep on conquering
