I've made an excel spreadsheet where you can input the training time and resource cost of a unit, and in return you'll see the number of villagers to sustain production at various stages in the eco tech tree.
Resource rates are based on civs with 0 eco bonuses for villager collection/carry rates. All resources are 1 tile from their depot, representing a reasonable best case collection scenario - so depending on your level you may want to add a vill here or there
