AOE-II Some More Arena (one vs Duck <333333333)

))))))) I got a game vs duck. I know I'm vs pro, but if anyone can give me any pointers on that one, as i thought i had a chance when i saw him going knights, and knew knights wouldnt work. (I have to leave age soon, but this is like dream come true, ty duck <3)

My game plan was that since he pers, i can boom and collect relics and hit up fairly quickly and kill him (cause I think i have rox eco, but apparently not so much). I thought about rush, but my micro sux, and I figured since I mine stone to sell at market maybe he anticipate me fwd castle, and that throw him off.

Even though i had fwd gold I figured even if he would try rush, monks would save me. I didnt know whether he go HC or paladins in IMP, but banked on paladins (I never raelly understood the whole wow factor over plumes, they like shitty CA even FU only 9 attack, vs 8 pierece armor pala is sux IMO). I was going to make castle in side, i had started it but game gg before it finished, and make 2 petards and go kill eco with eagles, while I take his HC + pala with rams, spears and skirmishers. I thought my eco was decent given my imp not much later than him that I had decent army, but his much better. You can even see here in achievements his eco rox

Im still not sure whether 4 tc boom would save me, or maybe I sohudlve just rushed heavy, but I always think plume die easily to mangonel, and maya monks no redemption


Anyway, thx duck, even though i lose like noob was very fun game for me to play against player I like.

Plume + Halb always best! Definitely though you need to boom with more eco, 75 vil at 25 mins is just too sux especially considering that pers eco is massive.

Go full EEW first. Mayan EEW beats paladins in 9:5 ratio. If he's still making palas, add halbs.

Havent watched this game, but i suggest full EEW vs pala+hc and go for his eco (whatever you can reach). Later you can add in siege rams to break walls.

It's not because Mayan eagles do okay-ish vs paladins that halberdiers aren't way better....

this combo could work fine

But the problem i see is that plums will auto fire paladins, they survive a damn 90 hits from plums.. so i feel the safer option is to go FU eew + halbs(to conserve gold) and ram.

The great thing with eew is that it does fine vs paladin and hc, in just a single unit which is destructive otherwise too.
