So I was thinking about the potential use of towers in naval warfare.I think it'll be a good solution to the ever-present grush since the team most likely not planning to put in warships sooner.So I thought about it more and came up with:
1.Towers do +100%,+75% damage vs cannon/galleons,fires.No bonus vs fishing ships.
2.Heated shot tech only applies to bombard towers,bombard cannons,scorpions and trebs and +10 attack for SOs vs ships(not mangonnel/onagers).Percentage reduced to 25%(same as castles) and adds X2 tower bonus vs demo ships.This does not add anything vs fishing ships.
3.Towers only do +5 vs demo ships(as per new classification I mentioned somewhere else) and X2(=10 bonus) after heated shot.THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO CAMELS/PETARDS/SABOUTERS.
4.Fish-traps cost 80W.
5.Towers +80% vs Longboats,+20% vs Turtle Ships.
6.Careenig adds +25% tower resistance,Guard Tower adds +25% bonus.
7.Dry Dock adds +15% resistance,Keep adds +15% resistance.
8.Turtles take +30 damage from bombard cannons,cannon galleons
9.Lonboats take +15 damage from demo ships,-1 damage from fires
10.Cannon Galleons take -25% damage from demo ships.
So,yeah every change has a reason behind it.It'll bring about a rush/turtle/(fish)boom (in Dark) on water and make a demo-fire-galley triangle.Both longboats and turtles will be hybrid units that are better vs normal counter but worse vs normal strengths(sort of like cataphracts!).Please share your opinions everyone!
