maybe this was build in because the size of a building reaches to the edge of the tile. Between a building and a unit there will be always a fraction of a tile more distance, so i will count as +1 tile. Between 2 buildings there is no extra fraction of a tile distance.
so douche works with 7 tiles?

One tiny pitfall being that ranged buildings only have as much LOS as they have range. So a castle with 8 range has 8 LOS, a castle with 8+1 range has 8+1 LOS. You either need LOS from a different unit/building or town watch if u want to be able to hit within that 1 extra tile of range.
