U can make this test to know is ur mouse/pad smooth enough for enjoyable and comfortable playing.
How to make:This is little peace of printing paper almost everybody has at home, dimensions: 10cm x 1cm. U can make it easy in 5 min, cutting paper and writing these numbers as scale ( u gonna need a ruler). Every number is far 0.5 cm from next one. Bigger number means ur smoothness factor is higher. Higher means better
How to use: Hold one side of the paper, and try to push ur mouse with the other side of paper ( the side signed with blue arrow ). If ur mouse stucks and its too heavy, try to hold paper closer to arrow ( moving the fingers to smaller number and decreasing the effective length of the paper ). Starting from number 9, first, the paper will not be able to push mouse and it will bend. But in some moment ( as u keep making the effective length smaller and smaller) u should be able to move ur mouse, pushing it with the paper, in all directions on ur pad.
Result of this test is the maximum number which represents maximum length of paper with which u can push ur mouse and make it moving. Bigger number ( longer paper) means that is needed less force to move ur mouse and it means better result
If u get some disappointing result, maybe isnt all bad. Good new is that maybe it can be a good starting point from where u can improve ur playing speed Players with 5 and more, have a great smoothness, but if its less than 3, then u really need to do something about. I dunno if is possible to have more than 8
