I am a HUGE 007 fan.
For others that love this franchise, how did you feel after SkyFall?
I am very sad. I knew Judi Dench was winding down her career, and was looking for an out from the Bond franchise, but I was very sad to see her die.
I am 26 years old, and GoldenEye was my the first Bond film I came across, I was 9 when it came out. I dont think I was really introduced to the game until 96-97, and I didnt even know a movie was made about it. When I discovered that, I had to watch it, and it remains probably my favorite Bond movie to this day, well maybe until yesterday, time will tell. GoldenEye was the first Bond movie that she took on the role of M. So really, she has played the character since I have been a fan of the franchise, 17 years, and it was one of the first movies in a long time to have me care for a character so much, but I do think it was probably the years and years leading up to it.
I also thought it was incredible to look back to see where James came from. 50 years of cinema achieved for the 23 Bond films, I think I have seen them all. I think it is also my favorite franchise, edging out Star Wars.
Bardem's character Silva reminded me a lot of a combination of Hannibal Lecter, the Joker, and even 006 from GoldenEye. Im gonna see this movie again for sure.
What did you like or dislike about it?
