Dear map makers of AoC <3,
we are currently running a tourney in the German nC community and needed a map pack for that. The last time I made a map pack for a tourney, it was a lot of very annoying work. Know that feeling? This might help you out:
I made a tool that aims to ease the work with RMS files. The main goals were the following:
But first, I don't know any English, Python, git, github, RMS and licences. I know that, you don't have to tell me. But I'm always open for tips how to improve, if you have any.
You can find the tool here: https://github.com/teheru33/RMSTools
Until now, I only used the tool under Linux with Python3, but it should work on other platforms, too.
If you run the tool without any arguments, it tells you how to use it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!
I'm planning to create another tool, that does the opposite: Organising the RMS in a way, that it is easy to read for a human. Will take some days though.

I made a tool that aims to ease the work with RMS files. The main goals were the following:
- make maps [that are made of map packs] a lot smaller (such as the UR ones, every single map includes the whole UR map pack and most of the code is completely useless)
- put multiple maps together automatically with (almost) equal probabilities
But first, I don't know any English, Python, git, github, RMS and licences. I know that, you don't have to tell me. But I'm always open for tips how to improve, if you have any.
