Massive forums where anyone can find anything about random subjects, like old yahoo questions but bigger.I still don’t really know what Reddit is despite hearing about it a lot. Just another forum basically?
It is actually a copy of Turkish forums called ekşi sözlük.Massive forums where anyone can find anything about random subjects, like old yahoo questions but bigger.
The amount of posts/messages in aoezone is too low to do the same imho.Reddit actually has moderators and rules for low effort content
You're missing out big time. Any hobby, interest or field of knowledge you can think of has a forum for it (called subreddit).I still don’t really know what Reddit is despite hearing about it a lot. Just another forum basically?
Reddit has a system that degrades quality the more popular it is. People offering advice is mostly similar to quora and rarely like stackexchange. Sure there are some quality subreddits for some niches but 95% is just crapThe amount of posts/messages in aoezone is too low to do the same imho.

My biggest complain is that half the user base is from USA and it can be annoying if you're not from there.
Of course there's also a lot of rubbish, but that's a given. You can't fault it for that, it'd be like complaining the internet has a lot too.
What’s the issue with the American users? Just curious. The amount of posts/messages in aoezone is too low to do the same imho.

As you mention that depends entirely on the sub. 5% of Subreddits being decent is.... like Memb would say: ALOT!Reddit has a system that degrades quality the more popular it is. That a lot of info isn't applicable to the rest of the world. You'll constantly find talk or recommendations of products not available elsewhere, or people talking about a law as if it was universal, the disgusting flood of USA politics, and basically a list so long it'd reach the moon. It's an infinite cultural tsunami obliterating any sign of diversity or useful information for the rest of the World. What’s the issue with the American users? Just curious.
Their lack of general knowledge about rest of the world. What’s the issue with the American users? Just curious.
Yeah the moderating there is well known to be poor, but I would not say it's the worst. It is pretty standard for subreddits on the bad side of overzealous and no worse than what you would find at some major AoE2 streamer Discord servers. The aoe2 reddit is one of the worst I have ever seen.
They will let users post viper, Spirit, and t90 **** all day long while snuffing out smaller people who try to do the same.
It begs the question how you expect these men to grow in the community if you snuff them.
Streamers are fickle, they go away
