I wrote a program for extracting, moving, renaming and deleting recorded games and I'm sharing it here in case anyone wants to use it.
Thanks to biegleux for the Recanalyst library.
What does it do?
1. Find and extract all archived games (.zip files) in your default Downloads directory (downloaded from Voobly and AocZone).
2. Move these recorded game files to your SaveGame directory
3. Rename them (if they are not renamed)
4. Delete all the recorded game zipfiles from your Downloads directory
How to install it?
1. Extract the attached zipfile. There will be two directories inside it: lib and dist.
2. Move the 3 files which are inside the lib directory to your AoC's SaveGame directory. You can now delete the lib directory.
3. In your SaveGame directory, open the file download_path.txt in Notepad and copy-paste the path to your default Downloads directory (something like C:\Users\(user-name)\Downloads or C:\Documents and Settings\(user-name)\My Documents\Downloads) on the first line. Save and close the file.
3. You can keep the dist folder anywhere you want.
4. There is an executable called Record Cleaner.exe in the dist folder. Create a shortcut to it by right-clicking on this .exe and clicking on 'Create Shortcut' and place the newly-created shortcut on your desktop.
Now, after you have downloaded games from Voobly and AoCZone, all you have to do is click on the shortcut (run it with admin rights) on your desktop. The script will do its work and then open your SaveGame folder to launch recorded games. Basically, you don't have to do any extracting, moving, renaming and deleting.
The installation is a bit difficult for the average user, but it won't take more than 3 min. I'll probably improve it later. The renaming format is like this: poZ_Tammy(Hu) vs FoxValentine_(Hu)[Arabia][25-Dec-2013-0621] and the names are sorted on the basis of colour (for now).
If it doesn't work for you:
The program is a kludge as of now, and it might not work for you.
1. Open the log.txt file (which is automatically created) in your SaveGame folder and post its contents here or PM me.
2. Download and install this.
3. Make sure that you're running the .exe with admin rights.
