My thoughts:

Spoiler: I'll edit this out later when it's not fresh

-Pep Guardiola = fraud Kappa
-Pep Guardiola seems to struggle when things get a bit off the rail; even though his sides construct some extremely good goals, he doesn't embrace the artistry of the game as much as he needs to
-Bezema penalty was a bit soft
-Stoppage time length in the second ET period was 1 or 2 minutes too low based on how much time Madrid had wasted
-Ending stoppage time early is wrong except in cases of extreme overallocation
-Even if the ref was clearly in Real Madrid's camp by that point of the game no one cares because it's Man City and you'd rather even Man United win than them

That's true to an extent. Guys like Rodrygo, Vinicius, Militao etc all put up heroic performances over some of the games all while having never won it

I agree. It’s a spirit that lives in the club and is passed on from one generation to the next - the believe that nothing can stop you at your best and based on that the ability to deliver your best when needed to

Guardiola only has 1 plan for the game and when things are not going his way he fades. Previous rounds showed that against Madrid you cannot "calculate" , just play your game and that will get you a result, the momentum can shift at any moment if you let them breathe.

Pep already was incredibly lucky against a much weaker side ( Atletico ) but ultimately he got the desired result although anyone could have seen flaws in his defensive strategy.

I think in the final Real is the favourite, we will see how things will work out but they have more experience, cold blood and obviously Benzema who by the way didn't perform at his top level yesterday but the team still managed to advance.

Funny someone mentioned voodoo, was just reading about the voodoo curse of Yaya Toure on Guardiola 11. But in all honesty, I agree that it's about mentality, and I think that boils down to the manager. Liverpool were playing worse than Real Madrid were, and yet they came back as if they were always on top. I definitely don't agree that ref was in Real camp, though.

Yup. The players get to the moment and rather than fearing it there is a sense of destiny that it is theirs because they are Real Madrid.

I definitely don't agree that ref was in Real camp, though.

Not in the camp truly but he felt like he was being swept up in the occasion at the end. The penalty is 50-50 imo but the stoppage time thing was pretty clearly in their favor.

I would say he was at his top level when it really mattered but it's true you want that the whole game. Agree they are favorites but have to think only slightly.

This is a good point. Midweek and nighttime + the occasion always changes things a bit from regular league play.

I mean risk aversion in the sense that he isn't comfortable making adjustments and having those sometimes fail. If you have this impression and @SuperskinnyBLS does too I think there is something to it.
