Not sure if you're being serious or not but I messed with this using the Saracens a long time ago. I found it was better to just build a galley since while the transport ship soaked up a lot of damage they don't contribute to attack and I imagine your opponent will just micro their ships to not attack the transport ship.add one transport as a meat shield, never lose a water engagement as Sicilians, ez
You don't see players use rams as a meat shield in castle age either with archer fights, that's a tactic for (late) imp. When the numbers become to big micro perfectly. Not sure if you're being serious or not but I messed with this using the Saracens a long time ago. the main problem is that before imp they take 1 damage, but after imp the transports can take up to 4 damage from galleonsYou don't see players use rams as a meat shield in castle age either with archer fights, that's a tactic for (late) imp. When the numbers become to big micro perfectly.
As a matter of facts you can often see players making rams on the shoreline to soak up damage from galleons, Sicilians however can add transports instead.
What he said ^. Saracen transports are very tanky pre-imp but after imp is a different story because you can't upgrade a transport ship like you can upgrade a galley to war galley or galleon so they fall off in imp.the main problem is that before imp they take 1 damage, but after imp the transports can take up to 4 damage from galleonsiViktorius said:

You do save gold and a bit of wood if you go for transports thoughWhat he said ^. Saracen transports are very tanky pre-imp but after imp is a different story because you can't upgrade a transport ship like you can upgrade a galley to war galley or galleon so they fall off in imp.
