I don't like it because there's no finite scenario where 1/2 could possibly be the solution so an infinite scenario shouldn't make a difference.why not? can you elaborate? the thing is that while we have a natural meaning of 1-1+1-1+ finite number of terms, we do not have a natural meaning of an infinite sums. we need to define it.
