Forgotten Empires, making some scenarios, I cant be the only one.
Just started one a few hours ago - I have plans for this one. Will attach it.
Totally made up Story, possibly geography: The French attack Italians, and destroy farmland. you fight back with a ragtag army but are defeated. The French lay siege to some random city on a plateau and trap the people. Now, as the game starts, a light cav from this city (you are allies) will gallop to your villagers near the battle and tell them to follow.
That's what the start is supposed to be like
The Teutons also try to lay a claim to the land, and an uneasy peace between them and the French ensures. I'm thinking that I might actually put the Teutons across the river to the west instead of the narrow stream in the north. The northern Teuts will become French, and the Teuts themselves moved across the river, yeah sounds good.
The idea is you (Green) must rebuild and gather enough gold to hire an army. Then you rescue the white Italian city, which gives you more power - ideally done by vanquishing the French knights with Genoese crossbowmen.
Finally after doing these two things, you must go to the west through a seeming maze of opponents - condotierri who have betrayed you for the Teutonic Knights, a bunch of Greeks and finally defeating the Teutonic Knights themselves to rescue the red Italians
So in short: Green, White, Red.
Early, Early development stage made in a few hours
