Wish there was a Q&A forum for this.AoFE has the live-chat support and any UP 1.4 issues can be cleared here with scripter64.IMO the lack of such support is forcing adopters away from the Steam versions.Bleys said:yea I have it, but for me it made it worse..
aoc hd crashed 3 times yesterday while playing and the laggy mood got worse too for me..
but maybe its just a problem I got..
Thinking progressively,I don't think the expansions are bad at all.If you play it for a few games, you realize all the greatness is still there but with more variety and a sense of balance. If you played the expansion and didn't like it(free version),then I can't blame you as personal preference is most important in deciding the game you play. But most of the changes aren't amatuerish at all and they'll probably fix up that area even more.Anyway, aoc+UP 1.4 is and will be difficult not to choose any day!lurknomad said:Voted AOC w/ UP lightyears ahead. Being a player of AOEII since it come out, HD version is a total embarassemente for me. All the problems I had and they had and are having, including with new so called expansion by all topics on their forum!, allyed with all the amateurism in a so big and large amount of aspects on the game makes me feel ashamed as a fan reaally and imo it hurts and is an embarassement to the mistique and legacy of this classic game. Emsemble would cry right now. Seems all AOF/HD they care is €€€ evaluationg by the progress of the game and expansion. so I think they reached their goal. Mine 2 cents from already experiencing it. UP brought some life to the game, HD brought something I should better not name
You obviously don't have a clue about Steam & forums and haven't played the HD version nor AoF yourself at all.Jaydev said:Wish there was a Q&A forum for this.
Do you realize the AoFE team and the AoF team are one and the same?Jaydev said:AoFE has the live-chat support
Have you tried the 3.0 patch? Have a look at all improvements. This patch is automatically applied to your HD version, no AoF expansion pack required.lurknomad said:Being a player of AOEII since it come out, HD version is a total embarassemente for me. Then maybe do that first before posting unfounded statements.I haven't played-yes
No. You'll see replies by the developers themselves every day. Especially in the support forums, but even in General Discussion. So for any support that's the best place. That said I prefer they way the AOCZone forums have been set up and the immense knowledge of the game mechanics available. It's just that HD is a bit in the back seat here at the moment.I've seen the Steam forums and are they really different from these forums?User to user info no? Yes AoFE and AoF are the creation of the same team but until now, people could get live support for AoFE and UP info on aoczone.I was saying the HD version lacked a good support option as these two.
Can't say completely unfounded since I was saying that the support there isn't as good as the support for the other versions and you yourself said they weren't on par.Anyway if the developers are giving info and help, great. Then maybe do that first before posting unfounded statements.I haven't played-yes
