I'm currently playing AOC on a laptop with a 15" screen and my max resolution in game is 1366 x 768. It's perfectly clear, but it means that I can't see very much of the map on my screen at any one time. I guess it's good because as a noob it's forcing me to learn hotkeys very well.
I'd like to increase the resolution as much as I can.
Obviously I can buy a new laptop or PC, I get that, but it's quite expensive and I'd just be doing it for AOC so at the moment it's not really an option.
1. Can I just buy a larger external monitor and plug it in?
2. Is this a graphics card issue?
3. Or is this a monitor and graphics card issue?
The current graphics card is a Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1) which is probably pretty standard on a non gaming mid range laptop from 2011.
I'm doing ok learning AOC but sometimes I watch games casted on YouTube and realise that the caster can see half the map without having to scroll and that's got to make life a little easier right?
