Hi guys, I just realized as the title says, player can listen teitch channel while playing. The narrator spoils almost every movement in the game. Is this a known issue or am I the first one realizing this
I don`t know what you actually have in mind, but stream is delayed (configurable), so even with "stream peeking" players wouldn`t get useful info from the stream as it would already be old news. If so, you`re not the first one realizing this
Off course cheating is possible. I heard a lot about scripting recently....
Maybe even negative delay, for the smart scripters, so you can see what you opponent is going to do in the future.
Or a 4 player coop with your friends, pretending to be just 1 player. Rocks!
On the other hand... cheaters will be disqualified from a tournament and banned from the community.
Also, cheating shows you are a worthless lowlife loser that will never accomplisch anything in life by yourself, so...
Brainless is mixing up a few things. Using scripts has nothing to do with Stream peeking. He's just being sarcastic.
Usually a delay is set (a spectator delay, or a streaming delay). In the CoT tournament so far a delay of 2-4 minutes is used most of the time. The rules are not 100% clear about this at the moment, but will most likely change for future tournaments. See here for more info.
In general the rules about cheating are not very evident. Stream peeking, map/memory hacking and letting someone else play for you are considered cheats for sure, but there is not an unambiguous definition at all.
That's good ,I just wondered cos of the money involved whether players could cheat .I don't play anymore cos of RSI but was crap anyway lol. Got great memories of playing for The Brit clan though, went to a few LAN do`s and AOC parties and met the great Geek lol. He amazed me with his keyboard action, hitting the keys really hard(LAN party inn Slough)
Must admit to being tempted to get my game installed but I happy watching the Youtube and Twitch games
