I'm only replying here cos that was a good pun.
111111 I'll be laughing at that one all day..That's acute badge.
Well you remember the game you played yesterday? (That one: http://www.voobly.com/match/view/14768069), in which your team (including Memb) walled and walled and walled against the non-SO civs of the other team that was clearly winning and you only won because of the lack of cutting abilities of the other team? That's to prevent these kind on stupid games. Even if this patch won't be played on Voobly anytime soon, well, allowing onagers to cut is clearly an obvious choice. That way every team (unless turks or huns) can cut.I wouldnt trust anyone who makes onagers able to cut with the game balance.
The only reason you dislike that idea is because the only situation where onager-cut-abilities is useful is during BF games. You play BF. Fine. Just play it nicely.
2I think AOC should have that onager feature too because being able to cut the trees decides winning/losing of most high rated BF games. It makes civs more balanced and players more awareness of the map.
Imagine playing BF when every game is sling with fast onager cut. Now think possible ways of countering?Well you remember the game you played yesterday? It affect any wallable map in the same wayWhat sense is it make a change that affects all maps simply in order to balance a broken map?
+1Ballance- and Userpatch copycats, just give the game to the players already MicroFost

normal onagers cutting trees is probly one of the worst changes ever. No idea how people can call this balance.

Yeah bc it will make those onager civs soo OP on BF right?
Having onegar's cut immediately makes no sense. HOWEVER, there should be a tech in the university which would allow it. Maybe 1000 food 500 gold, so it cant be researched immediately, but its cheaper than SO (so as not to be unfair!)
The nice thing about HD is you still have the classic AoC version that never changes. All these new balance changes apply only to the expansion.
Just to explain real quick for the guys that rarely or never play on HD. They split the game into two "data sets". One is classic aoc with no difference in balance than what you are used to playing on 1.4.
The other is the expansion data set where all the balance changes are happening, and that's where forgotten empires and african kingdoms are played.
Both lobby types are visible and joinable to everyone, so the community isn't split into classic and expansion. Even if you don't own the expansions you can still join expansion lobbies. Your only downside at that point is you have a small pool of civ choices.
But yeah, little steps and it looks like it's at least going in the right direction.
