Oh look, someones quoting the old testament again. If you had done any research at all you would realize that it is clear from the bible that when jesus came he pretty much said, god has decided on a new covenant with new laws, hence the teachings of jesus. So all the laws and harsh punishments quoted from the old testament are totally irrelevant.Inhuman punishments (for adultery?) ? Please quote such verses from Quran.
On the other hand. Torah states:
"Deuteronomy 22:23-24. If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you."
About stoning to death (Blasphemy) in bible.
“And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.” (24:16)
Really?
Few quotes from the new testament:
"Jesus strongly approves of the law and the prophets. He hasn't the slightest objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament. 5:17
Jesus says that most people will go to hell. 7:13-14
Jesus recommends that to avoid sin we cut off our hands and pluck out our eyes. This advice is given immediately after he says that anyone who looks with lust at any women commits adultery. 5:29-30
God will come when people least expect him and then he'll "cut them asunder." And "there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." 24:50-51
Matthew 5:17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
