Hi,
I am new on this site, so I don't know if I am posting at the right place (11), but I would like to see if there would be people interested in participating in a 1v1 AOE2 DE tourney I am considering to organize.
It would be for people under 1000 elo (maybe 900?) as I find there is currently not a lot of incentive for newer players to improve at the game. It would be cool to give the opportunity to some low elo players to play in a tournament.
Ideally, it would be a 16 player tournament. The first and second rounds would be best of 3s; the semifinals and the final would be best of 5s. The map pool would include maps such as Arabia, Arena, Hideout, Haboob, Yucatan, Team Islands, Golden Pit, Four Lakes and Oasis. The prize pool would be 50$ CAD for the first place and 25$ CAD for the 2nd place, all sponsored by me and paid via Paypal.
Everybody would be welcome to cast the games.
I am considering calling it " Peasants cup", Noobies cup"or "Rookies cup", etc. Any ideas?
If you are interested in participating or if you have tips or ideas, comment this thread.
Thank you
