I've actually read and watched documentarys on how the jewish people would be a great addition as a CIV for AoC, i seent he post on the new civ and decided to do some studying on the topic but by time i could get back to it the topic was closed
reasons why, its actually a proven fact that they were a strong military force, and under strong military commanders, they say that moses was actually a very strong military commander against the egyption force
heres why
ok so they came down from canen right? well it is believed that they weren't actually used as slaves for the Egyptians but more as a strong mercenary force looking for work, when they got to egypt they found work there, and as a known fact back then there was such a thing as forced labor, they werent making enough money so moses took them and left
and it says when they left they took form the Egyptians, now i dont know if you know anything about military strategy but these guys didnt get the **** for free, they plundered and took what they wanted
also they said when they left and the Egyptian forces pursed them that god sent down a pillar of fire
when at night every soildger knows not to look at any sorce of light infact it ruins your vision for up to 30 minutes in the dark
so while they were blinded and the jewish people were fleeing they seen the pillar of light and pharoh must have thought moses was lost in the desert and got him self turned around, when really they were escaping across the sea of reeds
heres another reason why moses was such a strong military commander, he cross the red sea at its choke point were it was swamp and marsh land and that he split the sea it says
well in this area there is such thing as a tide
the tide went out moses and his military force crossed, then the pharohs force tryed to cross, the tide came back in and there wheels were locked, as stated in the bible , they had hevay chariots, and maybe some people drowned but the main focus point is that, now the pharohs forces would have to go up and around the red sea at its cross point and lose moses and his forces
moses and his forces then used there military training to survive in the desert and ration there food
so yes the jewish people would be a strong civ and there are many more military actions in which they had succeded
just a little history lesson, and you can read up on tons of battles were they had strong military forces and good commanders too.
