Hello nomad fans! This past weekend we concluded the BIG LEAGUE of the BIG NOMAD CUP with a really exciting series between Handcannons OP and O Mai Goss. In addition, we still have the semis and finals of TINY LEAGUE coming up in the next couple weeks or so. However, since we just finished the "main event", I wanted to open up the feedback thread now, while the tournament is still fresh in people's minds. This is the first tournament I've ever hosted, so I would definitely appreciate some feedback from both players and viewers of OBNC. There were definitely some bumps along the way, and I learned plenty from doing this event. The goal is to make sure that (hopefully!) future tournaments of mine can be even better than this one!
For feedback, I am going to post some examples of questions below - these are just suggestions, feel free to answer any amount of them, or talk about things that I didn't mention. For clarity I separated between players and viewers, so please distinguish which you are when responding. (You can be both a player and a viewer, this is just done so I can better categorize where the feedback is coming from ^^)

Thank you in advance for the feedback, and stay tuned for the conclusion of TINY LEAGUE!

- What interested you about OBNC that made you want to participate? 4v4, nomad, casual vibe, random civs, etc.?
- Did you like the format of the tournament (2 GSL-style groups and single elim semis + finals)?
- How was the length of the tournament? OBNC lasted about 1 month for BIG LEAGUE, and a bit longer for TINY LEAGUE. Was it too long, too short, just right?
- How easy to understand were the tournament settings? Maps, in-game settings, nomad-specific rules, etc.? Also, if there was confusion, was assistance from the organizer and admins helpful?
- Did you like the maps? Was there a good balance and variety between the map types?
- What did you think of random civs? Did it work for a 4v4 nomad tournament?
- What did you think of scheduling format (i.e. on Discord as opposed to AoEZone)? Was it easier, harder, or about the same when it came to figuring out who you were playing and when?
- Fundamentally, did you find the tournament to have enough competitive integrity? (was this a legitimate skill-based competition)? Equally as important, did you find the tournament to be fun?
- Were the tournament's admins helpful in facilitating games, resolving disputes, and answering questions?
- What is the most important thing you would change, if anything, for a hypothetical OBNC 2?

- Did you find OBNC to be an interesting concept? Did the tournament's settings (4v4, nomad maps, random civs) feel fresh and unique compared to all of the other events going on in AoE2 right now?
- Were the tournament settings easy to understand, and were any questions readily answered?
- Was the tournament schedule easy to follow? The event was Tuesdays and Thursdays at 16 GMT for the month of August, with the finals being the Sunday after the semis concluded.
- How did you find the tournament's length? OBNC lasted about 1 month for BIG LEAGUE, and a bit longer for TINY LEAGUE. Was it long enough to keep you interested; did it feel like the tournament dragged on for too long?
- How well advertised was the tournament? Did you know it was happening? Was there a platform that could have been utilized better when it came to spreading tournament information?
- What made you tune in to an OBNC match, and what made you tune out (or not tune in)?
- What is the most important thing you would change, if anything, for a hypothetical OBNC 2?
Thank you in advance for the feedback, and stay tuned for the conclusion of TINY LEAGUE!
