the diffrence is you cant have loom before a TC is up. so on nomad start you dont have a villager fighting issue.... and btw, why no let goths have their free loom and make them start with -50 gold? Whats that "instant research" thing about??

You mean at least they didnt buff Aztecs, Khmer Indians, and didnt nerf Italians Portuguese Turks ?Most of the changes were ok, in the sense that they were in the right direction, but it's not enough sometimes and potentially annoying like the +1 pierce armor lightcav. Maybe tatars is a bit too strong now?
Why nerf Korean towers even more? Doesn't make any sense and was completely unneeded.
You make no sense Myth, korean towers have never been a defensive option. Nerfing walls is a direct nerf to the obnoxious drush FC meta that was made stronger by the previous tower nerf. And I'm certainly happy they nerfed that (just need to nerf laming now).
But I don't see the need for extra nerfing Korean guard towers (or making them potentially stronger in some situations, with 12 range in castle age). That feels unneeded, I guess the devs just really have tower rush PTSD.
The other changes are good or at least interesting to see how they will play out.
For the same reason they nerfed walls this patch for the fourth time since DE came out. (build time, cost, hp, taking damage while unbuilt, removing building armor...wtf?)
People hating on gameplay strategies have overwhelming shown that they are capable of influencing the meta by simply advocating for nerfing playstyles that counter their preferred method of playing. Hopefully one day this changes, but it seems unlikely, and we are increasingly heading towards a game-state where there are only one or two viable ways to play and have a shot at winning -- or at least surviving a bit longer. More than ever -- there is very little downside to spamming your pre-mill Drush or Feudal army towards your opponent. Even if you can't get into your opponent, the cost to wall, and idle time caused to repair/re-wall is absolutely insane right now.
Defensive play is toast.

It’s funny how you bring that up all the time while it is the other way around. Look at KotD or now World Cup - there is no way to play competitively at the moment without walls, so the balance at the moment massively favors defensive play over aggressive play.
Also, there is no way you can spam units in dark or feudal age. at this stage in the game it is a careful decision which/how many units to produce and they have to be precisely controlled - quite the opposite of spamming
