I voted teutons, because their units strong against monks, they have good eco, teutonic knights to beat eagles, super rox castles to defend their eco, and can raid with good cavalry
Sorry but I cant agree...How many ppl play monk rush on ara ? 1 of 100 maybe, and even if u met some crazy monk rusher I dont see how teutons would help you more, teutons kt lose anyway vs monks and sc win teuton or not.
Lol mong FTW! same 5 militia drush but earlier feudal time, or 20 pop scouts to rape drush and then city
well no i realise in imp it can be hard 11 maybe u can hold with L cav at beggining and then get magudais
Japanese by far.
Teutons do vgood Turks, Byz, Franks and Spanish are quite decent counters.
I think Aztks beat huns in 1vs1 ara but against all civs huns do better.
Hehe, I thought on Mongol too, but in my mind I usually think on maps such are BF, michi... as default map. Many rook players, who are not native rushers, would also have some map like this on mind, on first thought...
On Arabia, I think maya would be nice, probably best, but also goths, japs, celts, maybe viking, even I can say I never saw someone played vikings vs Az. I think Mongol would be a fail in ara vs Az because, except some good early drush and possibly superior scrush, they are losing advantage very fast, because Az's eco and great eagles in later game. Also civ like Koreans would be also a fail in my opinion.. But I dont doubt that master top player would easy "rape" Az with any civ.
I am not fune but the reason is simple ew is cheaper than kths and any good aztk user will mix them with pikemans ,also with the economy from aztks is just so easy to reach imp and then do massive ews and they have a good feudal with that 15% bonus and drushing +wall on dark age is a good advantage to counter fwd and hit first than scs.
I know huns might win full kths+cas but they need more time getting enough army and aztk only need to hold on with xbow or wall or whatever you want, besides huns on imperial are not the best civ to counter ews+pikeman fully upgrade and the aztk still using less gold hope you can understand my point.
Good points, but what I think carlos was getting at without saying it directly was that alot of civs can be competitive vs huns on arabia 1v1. However I think azt is probably one of the better choices.
Imo huns are better against all civs because offensive play is easier so they can get more advantage of their eco bonus + they got units to counter well almost all combos except maybe goths. I think Aztks would beat huns more times but depends of map too, Aztk eco is too strong and once they hit imp is too hard for huns to survive-
Yeah, well it all dpends on map, as funito says cause map too opened, after az drush, they must fight an hun army consisting of archers and super fast scouts (from faster stabls i mean) and in castle CA+ kts or LCav vs x bows and pikes... ofc if u hav good map u can wall and fast boom 29ish min imperial and mass ew with no eco practically. Ew>Hun. Caus Ew>Ca and eco
Comparing Az and Huns, I would choose Huns are better civ, but its cuz I like that u have mounted units like scouts, knts, ca... Its just more nice in my opinion, when u can have more types of units. Combinations such are archers/skirmi + M@a/pike, are more likely for Az or Goth players. But its nice to see when the player adds with his pikes and archers some scouts, knt or ca. Ofcourse, this presume that I treat eagle as infantry unit, but I guess it is much more than just a infantry.
I enjoyed to see how players like IORI used to play with huns, combining units such are knts, ca, pikes, skirmish, in castle age. Its slightly more complex system of current types of units, more varied than u would see in games with az or goths... it makes the system of current units more harder to micro, but I believe that as much the system of units is complex, there is more power in hands of skilled player, who can micro it. Still, all just proves that every civ has its bonus and satisfies way of thinking of the player, so every players choose his civ according to his understanding of game. And of course it depends also on the taste
