I've seen many games where people hardly create any of the standard infantry from the barracks. Maybe 3 militia for a drush and that's usually it. Not many people research m@a in feudal (usually archers and scouts) or longswords in castle (usually knights, crossbows, or UUs). In the imperial age, we almost NEVER see any two-handed swordsmen, let alone champions, as players normally prefer to create Elite UUs or Paladins/Cavaliers etc.
Why is that exactly? I know that other units are more superior, but in medieval warfare, infantry were the backbone of an army plus they're so quick and cheap to create (60 food and 20 gold)!
