Well I disagree with seeing player advanced, technically there always been people trading or having spies, to it kind of makes sense. Though seeing points I can completely understand why some people would want it hidden. Though at this point I feel it's kind of aoe2 identity. Sometimes it makes no sense, but at same time it helps to not prolong games too much if you see you are 3k score vs 5k, you know you are dead. However as I said, I can completely understand that when score indicates 1 tc FI it might be too much information given.2 and 3 should been default in ranked long time ago
1 can be good for troll settings i guess
I agree with this, 100% supportive of getting rid of the notification. I thought OP meant that you wouldn't be able to even scout what age someone was in (similar to his suggestion on blinding the civ)Displaying age up for free goes against RTS fundamentals - scouting for information
We have to force those lazy pros to move their ass and scout instead of luring deer 11
"Though at this point I feel it's kind of aoe2 identity"
I somewhat agree on this, hence points should be hidden only for ranked and tournaments
This is a disappointment for me! I actually expected more! Instead of adding interesting tactical elements or deepening the gameplay, it only limits the gaming experience.Well I disagree with seeing player advanced, technically there always been people trading or having spies, to it kind of makes sense. The lack of map visibility completely undermines the strategic aspect of the game, making it more a matter of chance than player skill. It also increases the role of luck and decreases the importance of skill. Because of this, I began to study something new for myself, namely sites like funzpoints, I found funzpoints sister casino for this. It's a new experience for me and it's cool. I don't see the point in just playing that mode. Instead of stimulating intellectual challenge and strategic thinking, this mode often leads to frustration and random results, which is contrary to the core principles on which AOE-II is built.
