Oh God please not Double Arabia co-op I would hate that
I agree! The poll is kind of pointless because that's one of the few settings that people actually recognize so it get's picked more often than it should.Oh God please not Double Arabia co-op I would hate that
I just don't understand the idea behind it. I would much rather see these players controlling their own civs and seeing how the high seed/low seed versus mid seed/mid seed dynamic plays out, and with every player showcasing their own gameplay, rather than being placed into a wildly unfamiliar situation that's completely alien compared to when they play AoC conventionally. The best players from NAoC could be terrible co-op players and vice versa, and everyone is going to feel uncomfortable and hamstrung by co-op.
I think it's a recipe for a damp squib of a game, personally, and not for a great finale to an event that has been run very well and participated in enthusiastically by the players.

NAoC3 is first of all for the players. That was the whole reason behind the Freedom of Map Principle. In the same spirit, the admins introduce a veto clause to the poll: If at least 5 of the 8 participants veto against the poll winning map, the 2nd placed map will be played. The veto clause also applies to this new map and so on. If the first 8 maps get deselected, the 9th placed map has to be played no matter what.
Good idea, it keeps the craziness without going overboard. Co-op is kind of bad to the lower skilled players because it might be a better strategy for them to do nothing but watch than it would be to try their hardest (Imo anyway).can you change it to non-coop double arabia? it would be way more interesting
if it can be played with these 8 players, yes. only one missing link and the whole matching looks else.yay, I can talk dutch :D
What happens if neither Double Arabia or Border Dispute gets vetoed and they get the same amount of votes?
If the players vote between the two, what if it's 4-4?
Bummer. Goodluck everyone
I'm so upset I didn't fill it out in time and missed the signups :'(
All concerning the map will be announced Monday 20 GMT. I already received five veto PMs, I think I'll find some sense in the overall picture. What happens if neither Double Arabia or Border Dispute gets vetoed and they get the same amount of votes?

3rd place map so no one is happy
Also, what will happen for the civs if the coop thing happens?
