Nobody said that so stop lying.Assuming AOE4 dies off, why do y’all assume Microsoft would keep spending this amount on money on AOE2 instead?
The topic of conversation never was "will aoe2 get all the money if aoe4 dies".
People being disappointed with AoE 4 getting far more funding than AoE 2 and AoE 2 getting a lot less funding than in corresponding period in the past isn't the same thing as wishing for AoE 4 to die and expecting large amounts of money for AoE 2 alone. These are completely different things and I don't understand how you could think otherwise. That's such a flawed claim to make...
People stop playing games all the time. If a game maintains stable playerbase/viewership numbers it means that every person who dropped the game is replaced with new person who picked it up. Lack of growing numbers doesn't mean lack of new people.
AoE 4 however keeps bleeding numbers. There for sure are some people who pick the game up but they most likely aren't enough to make up for all the masses who lost interest.
Why do you act as if they had to? Maintaining the playerbase is something vast majority of the games can't claim. AoE 2 does it. Continuous investment results in continuous profit.Player numbers haven’t exploded since they made it rain money either
Vast majority of games keep losing players as time goes by. For example AoE 4. Every new investment brings in less and less than previous one.
