Hi,
two friends and I tried to play AOFe over the internet and lan. Two of us were connect by a lan and shared the internet connection. The third player was playing over the internet.
The router was configured like that:
Port 47624 was open as trigger port
player 1 got port 2300-2350
player 2 got port 2351-2400
UPnP of the router was deactivated
I (player 1) created a game. The other two were able to join it (via LAN/internet). When we tried to start it, we got an error message. Something about "shared internet connection". Sorry I forgot to write it down.
If one of my friends left the game, I could start it without any error messages. So I guess the router configuration works for pure lan or pure internet games.
Is it possible to adjust the router settings to solve the problem, that we can player together? For example by using automatic port forwarding via UPnP?
